EXCELLENT SANSUI 800 VINTAGE RECEIVER
✨ Condition: Excellent – Fully tested, cleaned, and professionally serviced
The Sansui 800 is a beautiful example of early Sansui engineering — built before the “G-series” and before the wattage wars, back when tone, warmth, and build quality mattered more than spec sheets.
With a modest 25 watts per channel, this receiver is made for near-field listening, bookshelf speakers, or tube-like warmth at moderate volumes. Its tone is full, smooth, and surprisingly rich — with excellent separation and that unmistakable Sansui midrange magic.
Finished with a brushed aluminum faceplate, solid wood veneer cabinet, and warm amber dial glow, the Sansui 800 is vintage hi-fi at its most honest.

🌟 Why the Sansui 800 Stands Out?
This isn’t the receiver you use to shake the walls. It’s the one you power on late at night, vinyl spinning, coffee brewing — and it just fills the room with pure analog tone.
Built in the early days of Sansui’s rise, the 800 reflects the company’s roots: precision engineering, warm musical voicing, and a focus on what really matters — the listening experience.
It’s not for everyone. It’s for listeners who don’t need loud to feel moved.

🌟 From the Beginning of Sansui’s Legacy
The Sansui 800 came before the big G-series monsters — but it laid the groundwork.
It carries the soul of early-‘70s hi-fi: all analog, no shortcuts, and built to be used — not replaced.
For collectors and serious vintage lovers, it’s a time capsule of pure, musical intent.
Clean, compact, and full of character, the Sansui 800 isn’t just another receiver — it’s a window into how hi-fi started becoming art.
🎯 Own it, enjoy it — and hear what hi-fi sounded like before things got complicated.
Condition:
This receiver is in “Excellent” condition, displaying minor signs of use with a bright, clear dial. All knobs, feet, and the attached AM antenna and AC cord are present and intact. Although the manual is missing, it can be found online or we can provide a PDF upon request. Please inspect all photos thoroughly for the actual condition.
Service:
Upon inspection, the unit had scratchy controls, a dim dial, and some distortion in one channel. Therefore, it underwent servicing by our technician. Pioneer used certain transistors in this model that are known to fail after 40 years, so all of these were replaced. This upgrade resolved the distortion issue. Additionally, several questionable capacitors were replaced.
Testing:
After servicing, the receiver was tested on our bench and performed excellently, delivering a powerful, warm, distortion-free signal characteristic of analog receivers. All inputs, outputs, and features were confirmed operational, and the tuner spins smoothly. Additional testing was conducted, and we can provide specific feature information upon request. This is a remarkable find for the vintage audiophile.
